Temperatures will be pleasantly cool north of the front, with high temperature departures expected to be 10-20 degrees below average across the southern High Plains and Great Lakes region on Monday. Temperatures will moderate on Tuesday but remain below average from Texas/Oklahoma into the middle Mississippi Valley, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region.

there were mixed trends over the weekend and where the GFS lost 7 CDDs, while the EC added 4 CDDs. Most important, both forecast light to moderate national demand the next 3-4 days as weather systems impact the Midwest, Ohio Valley, and Northeast w/comfortable highs of upper 60s to lower 80s. However, temperatures will be quite hot over much of the southern US this week w/highs of 80s and 90s, 100s from California to Texas for regional strong demand.

The weekend GFS lost a few CDDs, although the ECMWF gained a few. Both forecast light to moderate national demand through Thursday but then both are quite hot with the US pattern for the 3rd week of June, just with the EC numerous CDDs hotter compared to the GFS.

The EIA sees $2.25 for the year. $2.94 now. Will the hot weather in Dallas send this to $4? Or will we see a pullback to $2.50 first. Is the heat dome responsible for the fast rise from $1.60? Are people dare shorting this now?
